Bush and a Pair of Shoes (Christmas is Coming!)

This ain't a cristmas present from Santa to Bush, and also this ain't any other fiction story!

On a fine sunday at the end of his diplomatical journey in Iraq, Bush was attend the conference along with Iraq PM Nouri Al-Maliki and spoke about the recent agreement between US and Iraq. And suddenly an Iraqi Journalist named Muntadar Al Zaidi stood up and threw his shoes to Bush face while shouting word "dog" in arabic. Altough he didn't hit the target but it really a shocking moment for US President. Mr. Maliki, The Iraqi PM, also lost his word for describing that accident. In Iraqi tradition, throwing a shoes to someone else is a humiliating act! it's a symbol of dislike, or anger to others.
Zaidi, The Al- Baghdadia journalist, was arrested after the incident. His action became an international highlight and trigger a pro-contra among the Iraqi people. Some believes that Zaidi must be release because it is a symbol of freedom.

Hugo Chaves, Columbian President said "I didn'nt push anybody to throw shoes to others, but Zaidi is a really brave man"(Tempo,17/12)

In a weird behave, Bush thought that it is an interesting accident and believe that it is the most strange thing ever happend as US President (And i bet no other President ever face it!).
Well i think Iraq people have really implementing freedom to their land. And it is a sign that US have succesfully placing a democracy in the land of Iraq. Good Job Bush! i think more people will get really inspired with what zaidi doing, so don't be shell shock if you will see many shoes up in the air, it is symbol of freedom of Thinking, freedom of Speech and Freedom to do anything, right Mr Bush ??
